Here are just some of the features included in the latest version of Kruse Control:

Revision Control

v      Checkout makes a copy of the document for revisions, and locks down the original.

v      Launch files for editing with appropriate permissions.

v      Check-in to replace the original or save as a new version, which updates or creates a database record automatically.

v      Retain an unlimited number of revisions of a document.

v      Checked-in documents can be kept separate from originals until they are approved.

v      Auditing tracks all activities and actions performed on each document.

v      Automatic email or network notifications inform managers of changes of document status.

v      Redline documents, and then save these markups as a separate, indexed file.

v      Support for multiple redlines files for a single document.

Audit Reports

v      Generate reports detailing each record's attribute information.

v      Detail the complete history or "audit trail" of actions and the current status of each selected document such as "checked-out," "checked-in," "waiting-for-approval" and more.

v      Choose fields and format preferences to customize reports.

v      Reports on all documents presently checked out by a specific user or all users.

v      Reports based upon any field or combination of fields in a database.

Printing

v      Automatically print custom headers and footers with "unapproved," "copy," or other status terms on each document.

Searching

v       Search for a keyword in all fields of the database and return any matching record.

v       Specify search criteria for specific data fields with convenient drop-down boxes with default values.

v       Sort records using one or more column headings.

v       Drag column headings into the Group Box to group records by fields.

Viewing

v      View over 280 file types including CAD, office documents, scanned images, and digital photos.

v      Change the background color and show/hide layers in multi-layer documents, including CAD drawings.

v      Manipulate zoom settings: Zoom to fit the window, select a zoom area, use zoom presets, or enter a zoom value.

v      Rotate any image.

v      Enlarge the viewer to fill the entire screen with no borders.

v      View multiple documents simultaneously and toggle to compare them.

v    Launch external viewers for 3D and other file types.

File Management & Archiving

v      Add documents simply by dragging files into the Kruse Control window.

v      Import records from a text file or a Microsoft Access database.

v      Automatically import AutoCAD title block information and file attributes.

v      Copying or moving files with Kruse Control automatically updates database records with their new locations.

v      Archive files as compressed zip files.

v      View files archived by Kruse Control without having to unzip them.

Database Management

v      Rapidly setup databases with one of the customizable templates or create one from scratch.

v      Database organizes important information about each file, maintaining pointers to originals.
